Skrein & Dr Syntax look set to unleash their 'Scene Stealers' album around November time, known collectively as Skreintax (see what they did there?) a promo joint entitled 'Breathe' has found it's way into the Suspect Packages bunker and sounds hella fresh, be sure to check for it on next months radio show. It's produced by a dude called Darren Paul who also has heat on Sonnyjim's forthcoming mixtape (dropping any day now by the way), and the beautiful vocal stylings from the one like Graziella also feature on the chorus. If (and it's a big IF) the sun comes out for us this will be a perfect accompaniment , a very chilled and soulful number perfect for laying back in your sun lounger while your partner tends to your every need, if you see what I mean. Looking forward to hearing more from Skreintax, it's been a long time coming...

Two new clothing lines, Twilght Clone and Garms House now in stock... Limited amounts of each so be quick, first up is Twilght Clone's 'Creating Rap Music Cus I Never Dug Disco' tee, the lyric is lifted off Tommy Boy's 4-Ever Fresh and his 'Urban Sound Surgeon' track and has been sampled by many. This is the first in the series of designs from the Twilght team and comes in black on a white t-shirt, we are the only place you'll find these tee's right now...
Second up is the Garms House brand with a play on the Dunlop logo fresh for the yoot dem and re-worked as 'Dun Know', ya dun know. Again, limited amounts of these in three different colour ways at present...

Just checked out two new joints lifted off the forthcoming '144,000' album from M9 outta the Triple Darkness fam. Dropping at the end of October the set features Bronze Nazareth, Jehst, Triple Darkness and more. If these two gems I've heard hold light for what's in store then all's good, 'Strange Fruit' produced by Jon Phonics is dope, a reality check for the day to day living in inner city London, well, pretty much any city in the UK really, coming complete with an equally dope remix from the one like Chemo. Elsewhere 'Paintbrush' displays even more illness, joined by Cyrus Malachi & Masikah the three emcee's drop knowledge over some dark and eerie Chemo production. So Roots Manuva's second single Again & Again dropping on the 25th of this month will be released on 7", containing the original and a Matt Helders remix (Arctic Monkeys drummer) on the flipside, plus a 12" with the original and instrumental, and a Moody Boys remix and instrumental. Now anyone that knows me know's I'm a huge fan of the Arctic Monkeys so I'm amped at hearing Matt's remix, it's not the first time he's worked with the UK's Hip Hop scene either, not so long ago Skuff recorded a track with him. The Moody Boys remix will be on a dubstep tip from what I know of them, and the album 'Slime & Reason' follows a week after this single...

Anywayz, looks like the Phi-Life Cypher emcee has bagged a Hugo Boss Urban Rules 1st prize (what ever that is) as his debut solo joint is something to do with them, it's called 'Sunshine' and is here on CD single??!! Didn't know they still made them? Produced by Richy Spitz and featuring vocalist HT who Si met at Luton Carnival a few years back, it's an uplifting praise to the sun god, wherever he may be? Nice track actually, the other joint tho 'Stand Up' is ya more straight up Hip Hop track. Back from a brief stint in hospital it's your boy Butch in full menghi style, a broken ankle which got the kid hobbling round the bunker like im crip (pled) walking LOL. Watch for the official release of the 'Smoking Ban EP' dropping on the 1st of July from Skinnyman, a full year will have past since the ban was put in place, and Skinny looks set to keep up his campaign that's had him touring the country recently. Coming on CD and download formats complete with merchandise such as hoodies, t-shirts & ash trays the EP is mostly produced by Skinny himself and he say's it's more of a Grime feel than straight up Hip Hop. His album 'World Affairs' is currently in the recording process and looks set to see a release sometime next year, as ever we'll keep you posted of it's developments...

Featured on the release will be a stellar line up consisting of Scor-Zay-Zee, Taskforce, Dubbledge, Karizma, TB, Wretch 32, Loudmouth, Wariko, Skinnyman, Shameless, Shiva, Blemish Blackstorm, Rukus, Malik, Yogi, Shade One, Big Cakes, Sarai Jazz, Kof, Emcee Killa, Fiasco, English and um, Stan? Headcount Records are soon to drop the second in the series of their 10" compilation EP's. The forthcoming five tracker features High Wycombe resident C-Lone with 'Be Careful', it's produced by MCM who as you know used to be part of Caveman, and has recently collaborated with Si Spex and Steady Diggin Workshop amongst others. Warrington's Pneumatic comes with 'Opera' featuring Mr Grieves and Rinse Dog, also outta High Wycombe. They come with a track together too, entitled 'The General'. Illustrate drops a solo gem 'You Haven't Got A Chance', and is incidentally working on his solo album 'The Stuff'. And rounding it all off is 'Our Season', a joint lifted off Pneumatic And Sloth's recently released 'Audibly Nice' album. Sounding like a good package my friends, the EP is entitled 'Theories In Practice' and drops at the end of May, good to hear some fresh Headcount head nod on the way...

Be on the look out for new label School Bully Records coming to your lug'oles next month, their debut release is from Cambridge based emcee Dirty Dike with the 'Bogies & Alcohol' CD album. Awesome super dupa producer Ghost has an exclusive mix cd dropping on the 14th of April, entitled 'My Soul Looks Like This' and covering old and new music, Trip Hop/Hip Hop, lots of instrumental joints and some exclusive Ghost pressure too. The artwork is penned by Will Barras who brought you the flava on his debut album 'Seldom Seen Often Heard'... In other Ghost related gossip he's deep in contract negotiations for his next album, which will hopefully see the set released via Japan. And he's also working on a new live show to showcase the album with 2 decks, laptop, mpc and a megaphone! In preparation for Million Dan's forthcoming album 'Spektrum', we have the new 12" single Scream Out b/w the Demon Boyz classic 'Glimity Glamity', which has been out of print for a good 10 years. Two mixes of the a-side are featured, which are both equally ill although completely different sonically, one being more of a club banger and the other being a little more mellow. A superior producer in his own right, having remixed and worked alongside some very big names in Hip Hop over the years, this emcee knows how to rock it right. Fused into the mix is some very tight live instrumentation and flavours of Jazz, Funk and Soul alongside the original boom bap of that Hip Hop vibe, coupled with his unique flow that he's been rocking since his days with Ronin Records back in the late 80's, don't front on this album, some perfectly crafted music right here...

Following The Breaknecks, Ruffstylz, Ralph Rip Shit & more recently the Metabeats release, Mudmowth's debut 12" entitled 'Circus In The Cemetery' is due to drop around April/May time, and possibly on red vinyl. It features five vocal cuts with production from P.L.O., Sam Rockwell & Devise outta Australia, plus fellow emcee's Willo Wispa and Ralph Rip Shit onboard too. Yet another couple of dope album releases now in stock... Braintax drops My Last And Best Album entirely produced by Colin Emmanuel. A solid set on some futuristic Neo-Soul meets Hip Hop steez, kind of, C-Swing's production really fits the Braintax flavour anyway. Fans of Brains won't be disappointed, both emcee and producer complement each other very well here and it's a dope listen from start to finish, respek to Low Life Records on this one. Let's hope it's really not the last from the Tax...
And finally here is the killer debut from Triple Darkness entitled The Heresy Presents - Anathema on Higher Heights Records. With production from Chemo and Beat Butcha they can't really go wrong beat wise, and lyrically the crew pack no punches, if you heard the live session on February's radio show you'll know what I mean. On the full set you'll also find guests Kyza, Skriblah, D21, Blind Alphabetz, Blasphemy and Amenoir...
Both releases need your full attention right about now, CD format on both, however we may have vinyl coming on the Braintax, and MP3 on the Triple Darkness soon...

So where do we draw the line between Grime and Hip Hop? When is spitting over beats not Hip Hop? Do we need to draw a line? Does anyone care? As long as it's good then fu#k it, we'll stock it... Incidentally when is a mix CD not a mix CD, or is it mixtape? When it's not mixed? Why are mix CDs that are not mixed, called mix CDs?... Why is Ghetto's new release a 'pre-album' before his 'official album' drops later in the year, why can it not just be a normal album? It's all getting very confusing around here, but you can see where I'm going with this yeah?...
Anyway, check out Ghetto's Freedom Of Speech CD right now, it's so dope. Production comes from Lewi White and Smasher and we feel ya'll need to cop this, a super sharp lyricist and some beats that fall someplace in between Grime and Hip Hop, does that matter?... Whilst we're at it you should check out Durrty Goodz too... 1.

The artwork and liner notes are excellent too, including interviews with London Posse and Tippa Irie. East London based female mc Tor is back with us and her debut 12" 'Strivin' featuring Klashnekoff, Seanie T, Lowkey and DJ Mentat released in '06. Tor is currently working towards her 'Beats International' compilation featuring producers and emcees from all over the globe that she's collaborated with, including New Zealand's P-Money and Australia's Plutonic Lab, as well as artists from Japan and South Africa amongst others. This will drop in May on the Pinch Of Salt label, and followed later in the year with her full length album all being well. Sheffield's Constant Creation crew have some new shit coming. I've just spent the last 20 minutes bumping my bonce to six tracks they're working on, 'Fast Train To Jordanthorpe' being a particular fave, make sure you check for it when it finally drops. Watch for the third solo album and last in the trilogy from the lyrical badman Life dropping on the 3rd of March. Seriously this album from the Phi-Life Cypher emcee, entitled 'Outside Looking In' and coming on Zebra Traffic, is some hefty neck snapping business. Once again DJ Nappa laces Life with some ILL production, not only that but an extra CD entitled 'Life Beat Tape' finds 28 tracks of classic, re-worked and exclusive instrumental flavour thrown in for good measure, even Mr Thing drops by for a few beats. This album on a first listen has just blown me the fu#k away, fully recommended when it comes, you'll be able to hear some on next months radio show for sure, bangathon...
