Getting ready for his sixth studio album 'Slime & Reason' for Big Dada Recordings Roots Manuva drops the lead single 'Buff Nuff' on limited edition 7" right about now. Only 1000 of these around, an uptempo electro bashment vibe with Toddla T on the boards and Manuva praising the lovely ladies out there looking buff... nuff. The album is sounding hella fresh with Mr Smythe taking it to the next level of illness, plenty of stand outs amongst the 14 tracks on offer. Just checked out a test pressing of the awesome new 12" from Ed209 featured Queensbridge mic manipulator Imam THUG, due to drop on the 21st of July all being well, via Ed's Voodoo Rhythm Devil Records. We featured a snippit of the track on April's radio show and will certainly lace you with more on this months show dropping next week... Having grown up in NY's QB housing projects that claim infamous Hip-Hop artists such as MC Shan, Nas & Mobb Deep, and formed the underground rap group Iron Sheiks alongside Tradegy Khadafi back in the day, you dun know Imam has that raw science shit on lock, coupled with Ed's ear bleeding drums it's a masterpiece. Watch for the monster that is 'Karma360' coming soon, no other tracks needed on this 12", it speaks for itself...
